Geothermal energy
Low-enthalpy geothermal energy is a fully renewable energy source that combines heat from the Earth's interior and solar energy stored on its surface.
To capture this energy, Casa Anamaria Hotel & Villas uses a vertical geothermal collector, consisting of 16 vertical boreholes, each 100 meters deep.

Three geothermal heat pumps use this energy to increase the temperature of the geothermal collector from 16°C to 45°C to meet the heating system, spa and pool needs, and up to 55°C for domestic hot water production. This process only requires a small amount of additional electricity.

For cooling, the system reverses the process, absorbing heat from the hotel to reuse or store it in the collector. The collector acts as an energy storage system: in winter, energy is absorbed from it to meet heating needs, and in summer, excess heat from the hotel is injected back into the collector.

Geothermal systems are highly efficient, providing 75-80% of the required energy, with only 20-25% coming from the electrical grid, covering 100% of the hotel's climate control needs.

In our restaurant and bar, we have installed a water filtration system from Artic Water, which uses innovative and sustainable technologies. This system purifies tap water by removing heavy metals, salts excess, microorganisms, flavours, odours and other harmful substances, transforming it into a high-quality gourmet product: completely clean, eco-friendly and sustainable water.

Moreover, this technology allows us to eliminate the use of plastic bottles, thereby reducing the environmental impact for both our guests and our staff.

At Casa Anamaria, we have replaced all single-use soaps and creams in the rooms with D-Rocio ecopump dispensers, reducing plastic waste generation by 70% to 80%. Additionally, the gels and creams are eco-friendly. The rest of our products are also made from recycled and recyclable materials, reinforcing our commitment to the environment.
